11th Annual 5K Lindsey Run/Walk

• Lindsey's Run for Peace Outside Campus 5k:- Run or Walk 3.1 Miles

This annual community event supports the programs of PEACE OUTside Campus, The Lindsey M. Bonistall Foundation. The Foundation was created in memory of Lindsey M. Bonistall, who was a sophomore at the University of Delaware when she became the victim of a violent crime that took her life. The mission of the Foundation is to promote peaceful and safe living environments in college communities by empowering students and their families to be proactive in safeguarding themselves against crime, through our Teens 'N Transition and Identify the Risk Programs. 

Every pre-registered participant will receive a race t-shirt. After the race, we invite participants to stay and enjoy a hot catered breakfast, live musical entertainment and a raffle/silent auction filled with wonderful prizes!

The 5K course is comprised of one loop around the SUNY-Purchase College Campus. It both starts and finishes in the W2 Parking Lot. The paved course contains rolling hills throughout, making it perfect for a beginner or even experienced runner!

Fees increase $5 after October 5, so register early!

Awards

The Top 3 Overall Men and Women will receive trophies and prizes. In addition, the Top 3 in each gender/age division will receive medals and prizes! Divisions for men and women are: 11 & Under, 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Post Race Activities

We encourage you to stick around after the 5K Run/Walk for a hot catered breakfast, live musical entertainment, and a raffle/silent auction!

Timing

Only registered RUNNERS will be timed using electronic timing chips. When in doubt, register as a runner! You can always change your mind and walk later. Electronic timing will be provided by Fast Finishes.

Parking

Parking is available in the W1 lot at SUNY-Purchase. Please arrive early to give yourself enough time to park and pick up your race gear. While the starting line is close to the parking lot, it's best to give yourself extra time!

Pre-Packet Pick Up

Pre-packet pick up will be available at Westchester Road Runner in White Plains. Times & dates for pre-packet pick up will be emailed to all pre-registered participants closer to the event. The store will be offering a 20% discount on all regularly priced items when you pick up your packet!

Race Day Pick Up & Registrations

Race day pick up and registrations will be available starting at 8:15 am on the West Lawn. We highly recommend coming early to ensure the race doesn't start without you! We will be accepting cash, Visa, Mastercard and checks made out to PEACE OUTside Campus. 

What to Bring & Wear

We recommend coming prepared for the weather, rain or shine! Remember to bring layers, so you can stay warm during our hot catered breakfast! Don't forget to bring cash or credit card so you participate in our raffle/silent auction and have the chance to win fabulous prizes!

Teams

Invite your friends and family to join you on October 25th by creating a team! If you want to create a team, you will be prompted during the registration process to do so. Simply create a name for your team and then share that name with all your friends and family! Your friends and family will register the same way that you did, except they will select to be a part of an existing team. They will then scroll down the team names and then select the team they want to be on. There are no additional fees for creating or joining a team.
