This is the one you have been waiting for... gentle rolling hills of Ojai and Lake Casitas with one noticeable climb. You can really turn it up, turn it on and test your early season racing skills. No whiners or cry babies need apply
Middle of the pack runners:
Beautiful rolling hills of Ojai and the surrounding area that will have you day dreaming about the entire course. Before you know it you will be crossing that finish line with a smile. You will want to get all your friends to join you on this adventure.
Weekend warriors / Beginners / walkers:
Sooo.... how do you tackle the hills of Ojai? One step at a time of course. there is a generous 4:00 hour time limit for the half marathon so take your time and enjoy the scenery, all levels of fitness are welcome at our events.
Aid stations and port a potty's every 1.5 miles along the course.
All Runners will receive:

Special safety notes:
All runners must stay on the bike path or in the shoulder/ bike lane along the course on race day. As you approach the Ojai bike path around mile 12.5 you must run all the way up to the signal light at the corner of Baldwin rd and the Ojai Bike path and cross the street in the crosswalk as you enter the bike path and head towards the finish line.
To ensure a smooth and consistent run, this race has implemented wave starts.
What is a wave start and how does it work?
Wave starts are designed to reduce race start congestion and improve your race day running experience. In a wave start, runners start in groups at 2 minute intervals. This way you can run with others who are similar in speed. A wave start will allow you plenty of space along the course, at the aid stations and at the finish line, without affecting your chip time or the time you have to complete the race. On race day you will line up under / behind the banner that best fits your estimated running pace per mile, see chart below. Click Here
