Wicked Weird and Totally Freaky Trick or Treat Trot by the Lake

• 5k Run/Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles
• 10k Run:- Run 6.2 Miles

Ghouls and Goblins will run amuck on All Hallows Eve. Take heed, for you never know what lurks in the deep of Pennessewassee. All those who dare, beware of the wicked weird and totally freaky you might happen to meet. So run fast but not too far for the end is near— The question here is quite clear….will you find a trick or treat this year? 

Join the brave at heart on October 31, 2015 at the Norway Town office for the Wicked Weird and Totally Freaky Trick or Treat Trot by the Lake 5k/10k (all ages welcome). Registration starts at 8:00, the 10k will kick off at 9:00, 5k will kick off 9:45. Join us after the races for entertainment and prizes for the top racers. Sign up at registration to enter the costume contest—if you dare. (Costumes are not required)

In 1980 The Progress Center Incorporated and today serves over 250 children, families and adults who experience disabilities in 49 communities in four counties in Maine. Located in the picturesque hills of Oxford County, The Progress Center has a proud history of supporting those in need. In addition to adult and children’s services, The Progress Center started the Community Kitchen in 2008. Our soup kitchen currently feeds, on average, 200 patrons for free every Thursday evening. As a non-profit organization we rely on our funders, sponsors and supporters to continue our mission which is “to promote independence and freedom of choice for the individuals we serve”.

10k route: Norway Town Office (Danforth Street), Main Street/118 to Country Club Road, Cobb Road, Ashton Road, 118 to Main Street, then end at Danforth Street.

5K route: Norway Town Office (Danforth Street), Main Street/118 to Penneesseewassee Lake Rest Area back down Main Street/118 to Water Street, Pikes Hill road, back to Main Street, then end at Danforth Street.
