Chilly 5K and Kids' Frozen Fun Run

• 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles
• 1 Mile:- Run 1 Mile

Start the new year on the right foot with the Joplin Family Y's Chilly 5K and Kids' Frozen Fun Run! This is the only New Year's Day commitment run in our area. The race features a chip-timed 5K on a registered out-and-back course, beginning and ending at the Joplin Family Y South branch. A 1-mile fun run is offered for kids ages 12 and under.

To encourage participation by families, free child care with fun activities is available to race participants from 10:30am - 12:30pm. Chili and refreshments will be served after the race.

RACE DETAILS:

The event kicks off with the kids' fun run at 11:00am. Awards are given to the top 3 male and female finishers. All finishers in the fun run receive a participation medal.

The 5K begins after completion of the fun run, at approximately 11:30am. Trophies will be given to the top overall male and female finishers. Awards will also be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age category:

12 and under

13 - 15

16 - 19

20 - 29

30 - 39

40 - 49

50 - 59

60+
