Come join us for the 10th annual Gallop for the Gravy, at 8 AM Thanksgiving Day before the turkey and traveling! This fun certified 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run through the Forest Hills Neighborhood in Wilmington, NC provides a great way to start your Thanksgiving holiday in the spirit of gratitude. Proceeds benefit local organizations supported by the Wilmington West Rotary Club.

Prizes are given out for best costume, fastest Rotarian, and Bobblehead Trophies for the 3 fastest runners in each age group! You may even win a prize of a coveted homemade pie for your Thanksgiving feast!

Event details and schedule

You can register in person at the YMCA on Market St. from 5 until 7 pm on Nov 25th and from 6 to 7:30 am on the day of the race. This scenic certified 5k course starts and finishes at the Wilmington Family YMCA. It takes participants through the Forest Hills neighborhood before finishing back at the YMCA.

Course Map

Awards will be given to the 1st overall male and female finisher, 1st overall male and female masters, and the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group. There are also door prizes and the famous homemade baked goods from Wilmington West Rotary. These are unique trophies worth running for. Registration and packet pickup will take place on Wednesday, November 25th from 5-7PM at the YMCA, and on race day from 6-7:30 at the YMCA.
