Come out and enjoy the only Mardi Gras Run & Festival in the Hampton Roads area!

Dress up in your favorite Mardi Gras attire and run in the Geaux for the Gold 10K, Fat Tuesday 5K or the Crawfish Crawl 1K!

After the run enjoy some delicious refreshments while listening to jazz music! Awards ceremony begins at noon.  

The Mardi Gras Festival is open to the public to enjoy as well!  There will be delicious food and drinks-including beer to purchase at the festival.  We also encourage to visit our exhibitors as well as our downtown merchants for some great items!

Event details and schedule

Race day registration is 8:00-9:45 AM, Geaux for the Gold 10K starts at 10:00 AM, Fat Tuesday 5K starts at 10:15 AM, and the Crawfish Crawl 1K starts at 11:15 AM, awards and post race festival featuring refreshments & entertainment begins at noon.  Runners are welcome to shower & change at the Luter YMCA, 259 James St, Smithfield.

The course will start in Downtown Smithfield at Joyner's Field, behind 319 Main Street and will continue through Windsor Castle Park and end in Downtown Smithfield at The Smithfield Times where the Festival will begin!  Public parking will be available behind BSV bank on Main Street, public parking areas on Cedar Street (near Mason St.) and Main Street (near Underwood St.), the former Little's Supermarket on Main Street (near Rt. 10) and the Smithfield Little Theatre/Smithfield Center parking lots.

Packet pick-up will be at the Isle of Wight-Smithfield-Windsor Chamber of Commerce located at 100 Main Street, Smithfield on Friday, February 5th from 3:00-7:00pm.  Please bring ID when picking up your packet.
