EVENT INFO: Sista Strut is a 3K walk in partnership with Sisters Network to raise awareness of the impact of breast cancer on women in the African American community. Studies have shown that women of color are more likely to get breast cancer at a younger age, as well as have a death rate from breast cancer twice that of Caucasian women. Sista Strut is great way to recognize the strength of cancer survivors, their surrounding friends and family, and promote early detection and search for a cure. This life-changing event takes place on April 9th with pre-walk activities starting at 8:00 am and the walk beginning at 10:00 am.
