Heart of Missouri Girls on the Run 5k

• Heart of Missouri Girls on the Run Celebration 5k:- Run 3.1 Miles

The Heart of Missouri Girls on the Run Council is celebrating its 5th year serving girls in mid-Missouri and 10 successful seasons! This race is the culumination of a 10 week youth empowerment program for girls in grades 3-5. Girls on the Run is a program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. During the 10 week program girls train to run the 5k. As a community runner you'll enjoy seeing the accomplishments of these girls as they run the race and complete it and will be inspired to push yourself as well.

Community runners will be timed and awarded medals in their respective age categories.

A.L. Gustin Golf Course offers a challenging and fun run for everyone. If you're looking for a run that provides a paved path but plenty of ups & downs, this is the race for you!

Parking for the event is convenient and free. Participants can park in the lot in front of the course club house.

Packet pick up is the day of the race and begins at 8 am. Because this event is centered around celebrating the accomplishments of the girls in the program there will be some fun pre-events including face painting, happy hair and other possible events.
