iGEM Spring 5K

• iGEM Spring 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles

Get moving for a purpose! This spring, join Northwestern University's International Gender Equality Movement (iGEM) for a fundraising 5K on the shores of Lake Michigan. iGEM is a campus chapter of the United Nations Foundation campaign Girl Up that promotes the education, leadership, and well-being of girls both in our community and in developing countries around the world. Join us as we walk/run our way to social change on the Northwestern lakefill on Sunday, April 24th at 10 AM. 

All runners will receive free snacks and medals after the race! Additional prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female runners. All proceeds from the race will go directly towards United Nations programs for adolescent girls. Learn more about Girl Up and its global impact at https://girlup.org/about/.

The course will begin on the south end of Northwestern University's Lakefill in the open field just south of the soccer fields. See the full course map on the USATF website here. 

Parking:  Park on the north end of the lakefill on Northwestern University's campus (just north of the soccer field).
Location:  Race begins on the south end of NU Campus' Lakefill in the open field just south of the soccer fields.

Registration is $10 for students, $15 for the community and $30 for families. Please note that prices will go up by $5 on race day! Additionally, cash and check are the only forms of payment that will be accepted on race day. Checks should be made out directly to the United Nations Foundation.
