Description

2016 Belvoir 5K Run:

The race takes place on historic Belvoir Scott’s Plantation and is a hand-wheeled 3.1 mile course. It begins and finishes on grass and includes wooded trails, hills, and a stretch of gravel lane. Runners will catch a view of the historic manor house once owned by Francis Scott Key’s grandparents, and will run by the location of a Revolutionary War campground and through beautiful wooded vistas. The course is challenging and exhilarating. Two water stops will be provide on the course as well as water and light snacks at the finish line.

Directions

The Rockbridge Academy XC course is located on the Belvoir Scott’s Plantation at 1487 Generals Highway, Rt.178, Crownsville, MD. The entrance to the property is located just south of the AA County Fairgrounds on the opposite side of Generals Hwy. It is marked by an historical marker and a sign for Rockbridge Academy.
