Description

Every child needs a hero, but abused and neglected children need a SUPERHERO! Participants are encouraged to come out in their best superhero costume, though not required. Fun for the family! Proceeds benefit children served through Kenai Peninsula CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children).

Adult Registration Fee: $25.00 ($30 on Race Day)
Youth Registration Fee: $15 ($20 on Race Day)

Event Agenda
9:30am-10:45am – Check In/Bib Pick Up/Photo Booth
10:45am – Welcome & Opening
11:00am – START TIME
12:00pm (approximately) – Costume Contest, hot dogs, and fun!

What To Wear
This is your chance to put on your BEST Superhero costume and wear it out for a day! Costumes are not required but are strongly encouraged. Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes and “family appropriate” attire (including costumes). Check out our Facebook page for costume ideas!

Costume Contest
Do you think you’ve got what it takes to win the costume contest? Best costume awards will be given after the run in the following categories:

  • Children (3-12)
  • Teens (13-17)
  • Adult (18+)
  • Couple (2 people, 13+)
  • Group (3-10 people, all ages)
  • NEW CATEGORY: Super Pet (friendly dogs welcome!)

Post Run Activities
In addition to the costume contest, hot dogs and beverages will be provided along with a bounce house sponsored by Jumpin' Junction (pending weather)! All free of charge.

What To Bring
This is a family friendly event. Please feel free to bring the whole crew! Suggested items to bring include chairs, sun block/mosquito repellent, blankets, picnic food, water, and comfortable shoes. Prepare for Alaska weather!

Parking
Parking will be available in the parking lot of Tyotkas Elder Center and Tribal Court. Please remember you are responsible for items brought to the event, including things left in your car.
