The inaugural Races for Peace 5K will take place at the beautiful Rockland Lake State Park in Valley Cottage, New York. This scenic trail winds along a flat and wooded terrain for 3 miles around a man-made lake that once supplied fresh ice to New York City in the 19th century. This race is a homecoming for 5 of our founding board members and provides a perfect setting to launch our mission for peace. 

This event is for everyone!  Participants may register for a timed 5k running race or a 5k fun walk.  In addition to the 5K run/walk, there will be educational presentations, community resources and more as part of our Peace Pavilion. We have invited speakers, community leaders, law enforcement, and YOU to be a part of this premier event!

8:00am - Parking lot opens (North entrance Parking Field 1)

8:45am - PEACE Pavilion opens / Registration packet and T-shirt pickup

9:30am - Pre-race educational presentation

10:00am - 5K run/walk race begins

11:00am - Post race announcements / awards
