Description
The Bedford County Outdoor Challenge is a three-day, three-stage recreational adventure with something for all interests and ability levels. 
 
Register for one, two or all three events:  Friday's Shawnee Sunset Paddle on Shawnee Lake; Saturday's Bike Bedford County, with multiple options for distance and climbing difficulty; and Sunday's Break of Day 5K/10K Trail Run/Hike.
 
This is an untimed event: challenge yourself while enjoying the beautiful outdoors of Bedford County, PA.  Start/Finish for all events is Shawnee State Park with the paddle and run/hike taking place mainly within the park; the cycling stage explores the surrounding area, including challenging climbs or rolling hills through or past 5 of the area's historic covered bridges.

Event Schedule:

Fri. Aug. 19th - Shawnee Sunset Paddle - Check-in Opens at 5:30 / Paddle starts at 6:30pm from the boat launch off of the main parking lot.


Sat. Aug. 20th - Bike Bedford County - Check-in Opens for Allegheny Ascent at 7:30am with mandatory pre-ride meeting at 8am followed by departure.  Check-in for Covered Bridge Cycling Tour opens at 8:00am with mandatory pre-ride meeting at 8:30am followed by departure.  Check-in for Lakeshore Family Quest* opens at 9am.

Sun. Aug. 21st - Break of Day 5K/10K - Check-in Opens at 7:30am; Start at 8:30am.

Registration includes a participant's gift for each individual stage*, plus a free T-shirt for those who register for the full 3-day challenge if registered prior to August 8th.

*Lakeshore Family Quest is a free event wtih no registrants' gifts.
