Live The green way liquid color 5K

Live the "Green" Way is a run/walk 5K to honor and remember Jennifer Green. Jennifer was an amazing Christian, mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Anyone whoever met her loved her. She was never without a smile on her face. She also loved children and they loved her. Besides her faith and her family, she had two other passions...running and children with special needs. This event will raise money to help support local special education programs.

Event details and schedule

This year we are continuing the Liquid Color Run! No worries if you don’t want to get sprayed, we will have a “Splash-Free” Zone! The course will be starting from the Robertson County Fairgrounds again year. Please check our Facebook page and website for more information and updates.

Also, we are having a FREE packet pick-up, pre-race event the night before (Friday, April 23, 2016 5pm-9pm).

Come check out local vendors at our first outdoor vendor fair, where they will be selling their crafts and other items.  If you are interested in becoming a vendor please contact us for more information.  In addition, there will be several booths which will have health and safety info, kid's activities, face-painting, D.A.R.E, Fire Dept, music, entertainment, food & much more!  We will also have a silent auction going on during these times available for you.                   

We will also be selling BBQ plates for $10 (includes BBQ, bread, 2 sides, dessert and drink).

Site, Directions and Date:

The race will be held, rain or shine on April 23, except for extreme weather and race will not be rescheduled. Starting and finishing at Robertson County Fairgrounds, the course is an out and back course on the Springfield Green Way. Visit our website or Facebook page for details.

Parking, Check-In & Start Times:

Parking for the race is available at Robertson County Fairgrounds. Volunteers will guide you where to park. Check-in will be at the Robertson County Fairgrounds. Registration/Check-in will begin at 6:45 am and closes at 7:30 am. Late registration will also be available during these hours, with t-shirts and goody bags offered as available. Start Time is at 8:00 am.  

Aid Stations & Refreshments:

Water stations will be located at the half way and finish points. Water will be available for all runners/walkers showing a bib number. Finish line refreshments will be available for registered runners/walkers.

Additional Information:

The color does mostly wash out after the event.  As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it the better. We suggest wearing items that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful.  If you wash your shirt….the color may eventually come out. We suggest bringing a towel to keep in your car to sit on, just in case. 

T-Shirts and goody bags are included with registration. Guaranteed shirts and sizing for pre-registered (April 10, 2016) runners/walkers; all others while supplies and t-shirts last. After the race there will be an awards ceremony. All packets must be picked up at pre-registration or day of race, left over shirts and bags will not be mailed.
