Sherman Elementary PTO Firecracker 5K Run...

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

The 4th Annual Sherman Elementary PTO 5K is excited to announce some changes!  This year, in conjunction with the Sherman Area Chamber of Commerce, we will host the "Firecracker 5K" at Sherman Homecoming. The course is flat & fast and will culminate in a tour around the new Sherman walk/run path. Runners, walkers & strollers are welcome!!

Registration prior to the event on Active.com is encouraged. Register by 6-29-16 to take advantage of the early bird pricing ($25) and to guarantee a race t-shirt. If you register after that time, cost will be $30

There will be medals for top male & female competitors in 6 age categories, as well as prizes for the overall top men & women racers.

After the race, your race bib grants you admission to the Sherman Homecoming on Saturday (rides & special events have separate costs).  Also, we hope you will stay to watch the Homecoming parade that morning, shortly after the race.

Event details and schedule

Race starts at 8:00 am on Saturday, July 9th.  Registration starts at 6:30am at the Sherman Homecoming site, between the Rail Golf Course & Business 55.  Racers are encouraged to be there by no later than 7:30, as there is a short walk between registration table & the starting line.

Racers are also encouraged to train for the event with our 5K Trainer Group, which will meet at The Rail parking lot on Saturday mornings at 8:00am starting 5-21-16.  See the Sherman Elementary PTO Facebook Page for further updates
