Scenic City Scorcher...

• 2 Mile Race:- Run 2 Miles

Join the Chattanooga Track Club on Saturday, July 23^rd for the second annual Scenic City Scorcher and try your hand at the 2-Mile state record!   The Scenic City Scorcher is a FLAT, FAST, certified 2-Mile course on the North Shore through the scenic Heritage Landing neighborhood. Online registration will be available until midnight, Thursday July 21^st. This event is capped at 175 runners – Don’t wait to register!

Event details and schedule

Course
This chip-timed, 2-mile race will start on River Street near Poblanos Mexican Cuisine (551 River Street). It will continue on River Street past the Girls Preparatory School, under the Veteran’s Bridge along the Tennessee River and into the Heritage Landing neighborhood. Racers will make a loop through the neighborhood, exit back on to River Street and return to the finish line near Poblanos. It will be a certified 2-mile course and will be eligible for state record setting.

Registration & Pricing:
Online registration will be open until midnight on Thursday, July 21, 2016.   The race is capped at 175 runners this year. Race day registration will only be offered if spots remain available.

$15   No T-shirt           Through 5/31
$20   With T-shirt        Through 5/31

$20   No T-shirt           As of 6/1
$25   With T-shirt        As of 6/1 (Not available after 7/11).

$20 – Race day, if cap has not been reached. No Shirt.
         Shirts may be available for purchase ($10), but size & quantity cannot be
         guaranteed.

Paper Entry:
If you choose to purchase a t-shirt – we MUST receive your entry no later than Monday, July 11^th. All other paper entries must be received by CTC no later than Thursday, July 21^st. Please mail accordingly.

Packet Pick up:
Racers may pick up bibs, t-shirts, timing chips beginning at 6:00 am on Saturday, July 23rd at Outdoor Chattanooga (200 River Street).

Race Day Registration:
Race day registration will take place beginning at 6:00 am at Outdoor Chattanooga if spots remain open.

T-Shirts:
When registering, please be sure to select the correct option (‘with T-shirt) if you wish to receive a race t-shirt. This option will only be available until Monday, July 11^th.  You must register online or your paper entry MUST be received by July 11^th. There will be a limited number of t-shirts available for purchase on race day for $10 (cash or check, please), but quantity and size cannot be guaranteed.


 
Awards:
Top (1) Male/Female: Overall, Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), Senior Grand Masters (60+), Veteran (70+)

Top (1) Male/Female: 10 & under, 11 – 14, 15 – 19, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35 - 39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 -64, 65 - 69, 70 & Over.

Parking:
On-street parking is available in the Coolidge Park/Frazier Ave. area. (Note that on-street parking meters on the North Shore are enforced from 9:30 am to 6 pm on Saturdays: www.chattanoogaparking.org). There is also a 24-hour paid parking lot adjacent to Outdoor Chattanooga.
