A full timed and chipped 5K for both runners and walkers, the 5K Banana Run is a part of the Great American Banana Split Celebration in Latrobe, PA. Unique medals, t-shirts, and awards will be given out. This race uses a route similar to Latrobe's Turkey Trot 5K Route, located in historical downtown Latrobe. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners (Male & Female) overall and for each age bracket.

The Valley Dairy Great American Banana Split Celebration presented by Excela Health is a 3-day community event celebrating the invention of the banana split in Latrobe, PA in 1904. Hosted in downtown Latrobe August 26-28, 2016, the event features vendors, food, entertainment, music, children's activities, and more!

You can stop by the UPMC Centers for Rehab Services Stretch Tent anytime during the morning to warm up, stretch, or cool down after - lead by the UPMC's local physical therapy team!
Early packet pickup location will be announced at least two weeks prior to event date.
The course will be similar to the Latrobe Turkey Trot 5K course, through Latrobe, PA. Parking is available at Latrobe Memorial Stadium, located at 131 Irving Avenue, Latrobe, PA 15650 and Legion Keener Park.
The Gutchess Hardwoods 5K Banana Run is being produced this year in partnership with the GLLV Chamber of Commerce, the City of Latrobe, and Latrobe-GLSD Parks & Recreation.
