Join us for a run and support our cancer kids this September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
Awards will be presented to top 3 male and female finishers in the 5k run. Each participant will receive a long sleeve tech shirt.
The 6th annual Cross Country Courage Classic takes place on a designated cross country course with the beautiful Sandia Mountains as the backdrop. It starts east of the Albuquerque Academy campus, next to the tennis courts, and features a 5k run and walk, and a 1k kids fun run. The cross country course exhibits good footing and includes several water & gatorade stations, post-race refreshments, music and a post-race silent auction (gift baskets, gift certificates, handmade blankets and quilts, woodworking items, photography, etc). 100% of the proceeds from the Cross Country Courage Classic will benefit our Pediatric Hematology & Oncology Program, and our patients that are receiving treatment for life-threatening illnesses.
Event details and schedule
The 5k run/walk starts at 8:15am; we will start the kids 1k fun run and will HONOR OUR ONCOLOGY PATIENTS at 9:00am.
PLEASE DRESS YOUR CHILDREN IN SUPERHERO COSTUMES!
All races start on the cross country course, just south of the tennis courts inside the campus of the Albuquerque Academy. You can enter from Wyoming (between Academy and Harper), from Harper (between Wyoming and Ventura) or from Academy (between Wyoming and Ventura). We will have race day registration and late packet pick up starting at 6:30am to the start of the races. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU FILL OUT REGISTRATION FORMS COMPLETELY.
The post-race silent auction is amazing! Make sure to bring extra cash or checks if you want to purchase items.
