Edenton Chowan Kiwanis 5K Run/Walk...

• 5K Run / Walk :- Run 3.1 Miles

RACE:  The Edenton Chowan Kiwanis 5K Run/Walk is a fundraising event to benefit Kiwanis scholarships for graduating seniors at John A. Holmes High School, The Terrific Kids program at D.F. Walker Elementary School, the JAHHS Key Club and other Kiwanis programs. The race is open to both runners and walkers of all fitness levels and abilities.

COURSE: The race will begin and end at the Edenton State Historic Site
108 N Broad Street. The course will run through the historic neighborhoods of downtown Edenton.

AWARDS AND AGE GROUPS:  Medals will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers, and top three male and female finishers in each of the following age categories: 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.

TIMING AND SCORING: By Run the East LLC, with shoe chips. Results will be posted online at runtheeast.com

REGISTRATION AND ENTRY

Online only at runtheeast.com up to midnight Wednesday, April 19
Race fees are listed below:

- Pre-Registration to 4/11/17: $20   Register by 4/11/16 to guarantee T-Shirt
- Race day: $25 (T-shirts based on availability)
- Registration for all runners under the age of 18 is $15 through 4/11/17 and $17 thereafter
- Special $20 fee through race day for Educators and First Responders (Fire, Police, EMS)

Race day registration will open at 7:30 AM at the Visitor’s Center.

This fee will include entry into the race, race t-shirt (See #1 above), race goodie bag and race day snacks/beverages.

PACKET PICK UP:  Packets may be picked up on Friday, April 21st at the Edenton State Historic Site located at 108 N. Broad Street between 5p.m. - 7p.m.  Packets can also be picked up on Saturday before the race, beginning at 7:30am.
