2017 Cookie Classic

• Trefoil Trek:- Run 3.1 Miles
• Samoa Stroll:- Run 1 Mile

The third annual Cookie Classic— a 5K Trefoil Trek and one mile Samoa Stroll will be held on Saturday, January 21 at Great Dismal Swamp Trail in Chesapeake. This event is open to the public and everyone is invited to participate.

Volunteers from Girl Scout Council of the Colonial Coast are organizing this event to raise funds in support of girl programs and adult learning opportunities across the Tidewater Area.

The Trefoil Trek will begin at 9 a.m. and all 5k finishers will receive a medal.

The one mile Samoa Stroll will begin at 10 a.m. and all one mile finishers will receive a patch.

There are multiple pricing schedules and participation options. However anyone registering on the day of the race must pay with cash or check.

All participants who register by January 1st will also receive a T-shirt in their size. All participants registering after January 1st will be provided a t-shirt on a first-come, first-served basis until the supplies are exhausted..

Girl Scouts participants will be able to complete requirements for certain badges during the event. Leaders can see the various patches and the anticipated completed requirements on our webpage at: cookieclassicrun.wordpress.com

Course is an out-and-back on asphalt- straight and flat.  Event will be timed by Tidewater Striders

To access ample parking at the northern trailhead, follow US 17 Business/George Washington Highway south from Chesapeake. An entrance to the parking area will be on the right, just before the road curves toward US 17's main alignment.
