Leatherfoot 5k - 2017

• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

 - Welcome to Alabama's first barefoot 5k!  The Leatherfoot will be a fun and adventurous race using the Hueytown High School cross-country course around the high school and church campuses.  The race will both start and end at the new Hueytown High School stadium for a truly exciting race experience.  Spectators will be able to cheer their racer on to victory as they cross the line.

Not quite ready to compete barefoot?  No problem!  Our Tenderfoot division will allow runners to compete while wearing traditional running shoes. 

Is this your first 5k?  You’re not alone!  We want every runner to have an unforgettable race.  Each participant will receive a Leatherfoot 5k t-shirt and completion medal (please register before Feb 11^th to ensure availability). 

Awards will be given to the top 3  runners in each category:

Leatherfoot 5k (barefoot/minimalist shoes)

• 13 and under
• 14-19 (male/female)
• 20-29 (male/female)
• 30-39 (male/female)
• 40-49 (male/female)
• 50 and over (male/female)

Tenderfoot 5k (traditional shoes)

• 13 and under
• 14-19 (male/female)
• 20-29 (male/female)
• 30-39 (male/female)
• 40-49 (male/female)
• 50 and over (male/female)

February 11th - Pre-registration ends

February 17th - 4:00-7:00pm - registration/packet pickup at NHBC

February 18th: Race Day

• 6:30-8:15am - registration/packet pickup at NHBC
• 9:00am - Race begins
• 10:30am - Awards presentation
