6th Annual Intown Ten 5K and 10K Road Races...

• 10k Run:- Run 6.2 Miles

The 6^th Annual USATF Certified Intown Ten 10K Road Race **** and new for 2017 5K Road Race *** takes place in the residential streets of Virginia-Highland and Morningside neighborhoods of Atlanta.  Both courses are loops which start and finish near John Howell Park which is located at Virginia Avenue NE and Barnett Street NE, Atlanta, 30306.  Race proceeds benefit neighborhood causes including Trees Atlanta and The YWCA of Greater Atlanta.

Both courses have long flat stretches, some downhill stretches and some inclines, as is characteristic of the neighborhood.  The 5K and 10K share the same finish line and the final stretch is a down hill quarter mile section on Barnett starting at St. Charles Avenue.

New for 2017 - We are offering a chip timed, USATF certified 5K race that starts at 8AM. You can see the 5K course on our Facebook Page. As in past years, the 10K will start at 9AM.

The Intown Ten has become a favorite with runners because of the scenic course, high quality t-shirts, finishers flags for the first 100 10K finishers and custom winner medals for 5K and 10K participants.  Complimentary snacks from vendors such as Highland Bakery, Whole Foods, Kind Bars, Suja Juice, Go Go Squeez, Krispy Kreme and more await participants at the finish line. 

Many runners use their Intown Ten times to qualify for a time wave in the Peachtree Road Race.  The 2016 race sold out and there is a 1,000 participant limit, so register early to ensure a spot. Do not mail registrations after Feb. 24th.  They will be returned.

Custom medals to Overall M & F, Masters M & F Stroller M and F & First Place M & F each age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.  Gift cards from sponsoring running stores to Overall M & F and Masters M & F.  Walkers and strollers welcome but must line up behind runners.  We love pets, but please no dogs allowed. Event details and schedule

Race time: 5K begins promptly at 8AM and the 10K begins promptly at 9am on Sunday March 5, 2017

Course Info: Courses are USATF certified, available on the USATF website and Intownten.com

Packet Pickup info:  Packet Pickup details will be posted on our Facebook page at facebook.com/intownten after February 8th, 2017 and at Intownten.com. Packet pickup times below are tentative, so please check back after February 8th to confirm.

Arrival Info:  We suggest arriving no later than 7:30 AM to find a parking spot, etc...

Parking info: Parking is available on non-race route streets and the YWCA parking lot on North Highland amd Adair.  PLEASE do not park near the Virginia-Highland Church, as they have very little parking for their parishioners.
