Bountiful Gifts 5k/ 10k/ Half Marathon - Walking Classic...

• 5k Run:- Run 3.1 Miles
• 10k Run:- Run 6.2 Miles
• Half Marathon Run:- Run 13.1 Miles
• 1 Mile Run:- Run 1 Mile

ANYONE can participate. As a change of Pace - only walkers will be eligible for individual awards. EVERYONE will receive a finishers medal and t-shirt. This is a judged race in the sense that we want walkers to win the individual awards, so there will be no joggers or runners winning individual awards (1st, 2nd, or 3rd). Walking is just what we do everyday. This does not mean you must RACEwalk the event.

Bountiful Gifts 5k/ 10k/ Half is a walkers only race. June 3rd at 8 am. The course will cover streets, and the scenic towpath. Starting at 3rd and Cherry in Massillon, Oh. Parking at the Regal Cinemas 12. Finishing at Second Sole in Massillon. All participants will receive a Special Shirt and finishers award. Walkers are individuals who advance using a straight knee. (please see pictures below) There will be spotters along the course for any individual who is running or slogging.. (sloppy jogging). Anyone caught running or jogging will be removed from all awards. Awards will be given to the top three men and women in each 5k, 10k and half. Depending on participation(minimum of 150 entries) additional awards will be done in 10 year increments starting at age 10. If under 150 entries additional prizes will be award at a random draw. All half marathon participants will need to be at a 18 min. per mile pace or better. Those individuals who are not below 18 min per mile will be asked to follow the 10k course. This will allow the half marathoners to complete in 4 hours.
