Description:

The Frontier Trail Run is a 5k, 10k, and half marathon spring trail run on the beautiful shore of Lake Sakakawea along the trails at Lewis and Clark State Park, east of Williston, North Dakota. It is an inaugural event that we’ve created to offer runners throughout Western North Dakota and surrounding areas a fun and challenging event on trails. *PLEASE NOTE: You will need to have a North Dakota State Parks Pass to enter the park. Daily ($5) and yearly ($25) passes are available at the gate (More info HERE).*

RUN IS LIMITED TO 125 RUNNERS TOTAL

PLEASE NOTE: We are doing registration a little different. Instead of changing fees by dates, we’re doing it by total number of participants. That means that if you’re one of the first 5 registered, you’re in for $5. It goes up after that. Check out the details below for the pricing structure.

5K Fees (Limited to 50 of 5k runners):

  • Men’s 5K: If you are:
    • One of the first 5 entries – ONLY $5,
    • The 6th-20th person entered – $15
    • 21st -50th person entered is $20
    • $25 day of
  • Women’s 5K: If you are:
    • One of the first 5 entries – ONLY $5,
    • The 6th-20th person entered – $15
    • 21st -50th person entered is $20
    • $25 day of
  • Kids ages 10-16 are FREE (for the first 10 runners – you still need to register)

10K Fees (Limited to 40 of 10k runners):

  • Men’s 10K: If you are:
    • One of the first 5 entries – ONLY $5
    • The 6th-15th person entered – $25
    • The 16th -40th person entered – $30
    • $35 day of
  • Women’s 10K: If you are:
    • One of the first 5 entries – ONLY $5
    • The 6th-15th person entered – $25

Half Marathon Fees (Limited to 35 of Half Marathon runners):

  • Men’s Half Marathon: If you are:

ENTRY GETS YOU

We strive to provide you with a fun and challenging event that gives you a valuable experience.

As part of that experience, you will get the following with your entry:

  • Grit Events drawstring backpack (See below)
  • Frontier Trail Runs commemorative pint glass (See below) – These is handmade by me, Ben, the race director
  • Well-marked course and stocked aid station (aid stations on 10k and Half Marathon only)
  • Register by 12/31/16 and receive a personalized number bib
  • All runners will be timed
  • Awards:
    • 1st/2nd/3rd – Overall Male and Female
    • 1st/2nd/3rd – (Age 39 & Under) Male and Female
    • 1st/2nd/3rd – (Age 40 & Over) Male and Female
    • 1st/2nd/3rd – (Age 50 & Over) Male and Female
