Description:

The 1st annual DFHAF Rock, Run' Roll takes place on Earth Day and what better way to appreciate Mother Nature than a scenic walk, run or roll along the Rio Grande River as Spring blooms in the Bosque. It starts at Tingley Beach across from the ABQ Bio Park and continues along a paved, handicap accessible path with mile markers for up to 3 miles.  Dont like running? Dont feel like going very far? NO WORRIES! This run is set up for EVERYONE! Whether you enjoy running past the 3 mile mark or barely want to walk/roll 1 mile.  Wheelchairs are allowed and in fact they are ENCOURAGED, if you or anyone you know is disabled bring them along and make it a family affair! The wide paved path makes it great for the entire family to come enjoy the day no matter your preferred form of mobility or intensity.  There will be parking at TIngley Beach and overflow parking will be available at the ABQ Bio Park.  
JOIN US AFTER and purchase a discount ticket for the post-race event in downtown Albuquerque at Las Puertas, where you can listen to a favorite local band, REVIVA, browse and bid on our silent auction, refuel with some tasty food truck dishes and sip on a refreshing local beer if thats your style! HELP US SAVE THE PLANET ONE PERSON AT A TIME! 

Event details and schedule

Parking will be available at Tingley Beach and overflow will be at the ABW Bio Park. Check-in for the Run begins at 1:30pm at Tingley Beach, the run will start at promplty 2pm and will continue along the Rio for 3 mi where mile markers will inform you of your distance and YOU can choose when to turn around! Water will be provided but bring any other sports drinks or snacks that you and your group may need.  Medical assistance will be available trail side by a Paramedic and monitors will be walking the course to confirm everyones safety.  Bring an ID for check in and your cregistration confirmation code.  If you have any questions feel free to contact Desiree at 505-803-2142 or Sally at 505-412-9006.
