About This Activity

Vanleer Elementary is hosting the Wildcat Trail 5K & Fun Run as their yearly fundraiser.  The proceeds will help to purchase new technology for the school.  

Event details and schedule

Race Information:

The 5K (3.1 miles) race will begin at 8:05 a.m. at Vanleer Elementary School.  The Kid's Fun Run (1 mile) will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Vanleer Elementary.  Both races will turn right onto Hwy 49 out of Vanleer Elementary School.

*The Kid's Fun Run will turn around in the bank parking lot and go back down Hwy 49 to Vanleer Elementary.  This is where the Kid's Fun Run will end.

*The 5K will continue on Hwy 49 straight down Old Dry Hollow,

*Turn left on Lucibill Road,

*Turn left onto New Dry Hollow,

*Right on Hwy. 49,

*Left onto Bear Creek Rd and immediate left Old railroad Bed Rd into bank parking lot

*Right onto 49 back through the town of Vanleer to Vanleer Elementary School, where the race will end.

There will be water stations with water available to you at the 1 mile marker, 2 mile marker, and at the finish line.  Refreshments will be at the finish line for participants only.

Roads will be blocked to protect the participants for both races.  

Please arrive at Vanleer Elementary at 7:30 a.m.  Parking will be available and directed by volunteers.

Registration Information:

5K:  Registration is $25.00 with a t-shirt until March 21, 2017

       Registration is $25.00 with no t-shirt from March 22, 2017 to April 22, 2017

       Registration is $30.00 the morning of the race (April 22, 2017)

Awards:  Men: 1st place -- $100.00    2nd place -- $50.00

            Women:  1st place -- $100.00     2nd place -- $50.00

Fun Run:   Registration is $15.00 with a t-shirt until March 21, 2017

                      Registration is $15.00 with no t-shirt from March 22, 2017 to April 22, 2017

                     Registration is $20.00 the morning of the race (April 22, 2017)

               A medal for 1st and 2nd Place will be awarded.  

Packet Pickup: Packet pickup will be Friday, April 21, 2017 at Vanleer Elementary School, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Vanleer Elementary is located at 4456 Hwy. 49 in Vanleer, TN. 37181.  Please bring a valid I.D. with you to pick up your  packet.
