_ 2017 Gold Star Run for Honor Run/Walk:
The 5th Annual Gold Star Run for Honor in Saugus, MA held in memory of Scott Procopio who was killed in action 11 years ago in Ramadi Iraq.
More about Scott: Scott was on his second deployment as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, having previously served in Fallujah in 2005. He was killed in action as a result of a roadside bomb on the morning of April 2, 2006 in Ramadi, Iraq.
Beneficiary: 100% of the event proceeds will be allocated to CPL Scott J. Procopio Memorial Scholarship program to provide high school seniors with academic scholarships.
Course Info
Distances: 5k, 10k & Kids Fun Run
Courses: All distances start at the same time and all fuel stops will have water and electrolytes. Walkers, strollers, and dogs are welcome.

Packet Pickup/Race Day Registration: Opens at 6:30am at Saugus Center in front of the Town Hall.

Shirts will be guaranteed to the first 250 registered and a post event Memorial Day Parade that commences at 9:30AM.
