Description
 - Start your watch and climb aboard the airplane for the ride up to 13,500 feet where you will leap out of a moving plane to begin your 50 or 100 mile ultra run. The 120mph, 2 mile (approx 10k feet) free-fall will last 50 seconds before you pull the parachute on your tandem skydive and quietly and calmly float (3,000 feet) back down to the safety of earth. Upon landing you will immediately climb out of your parachute and begin running to complete the "Skydiving Ultra"!
Course Info

Other than the skydive miles, there is no discernible elevation change for the course.  The course is a double loop/lollipop style that will allow you access to the single aid station and your personal gear. The course is a mix of packed gravel, grass and pavement (almost split into 3rds). The loops are not an even mileage loop allowing a specific number of loops consistent to each division....so each distance group will have a specific course outlined for them on race day (note the attached picture showing the loops that intersect in the middle at the bottom of the diamond)

How much of the race is pavement?
** There's (approximately - I have yet to do a detailed analysis) 2 miles of pavement for every 8 mile.
** There's a grassy shoulder for almost all of the pavement section so the hard surfaces can be avoided if you want.

Is there any incline to this race at all?
** Just the first 14,000 feet :-)

Other Info

Camping is allowed onsite Friday and Saturday night. There's plenty of parking and space for campers or RV's.

Bathrooms and showers will be accessible for the duration of the event.

The location is extremely friendly to children and non-runners or jumpers. There's tons of skydivers and parachuters to watch landing, they have a little grill and food station onsite and the people are incredibly friendly. There's a giant grassy area in the center of the diamond perfect for kicking a soccer ball, tossing a Frisbee, hanging out in lounge chairs and so on. We encourage you to bring friends, family members and even pets are welcome at the facility. Except lemurs....those little things freak me out.
