_ 2017 Take The Winthrop Challenge 5k:
This is a PTO event. All proceeds go directly to the students of Winthrop Elementary Magnet School. First 100 participants receive a T-Shirt! Walker are welcomed! Prizes will be given to the top 3 winners in over 13 categories. Lunch will be served to all participants after the race. This challenging 5K run brings you through rolling hills within the city.

Course Info
The starting point is at Winthrop Elementary School. Take a left onto Crystal Avenue and continue back onto Grove Street. Take a left onto Williams Street. Take a right onto Vauxhall Street. At the end of Vauxhall Street, turn around and follow the same route back to the school. Climbing the last hill up Grove Street makes for a difficult & satisfying conclusion to the run!
Directions
The race begins at 10:00am at the Winthrop Elementary Magnet School located at 74 Grove St, New London. Please arrive at lease 1/2 hour prior to the race. You will be able to park in the school parking lot. Lunch will be served to all participants after the race.
