People Chase 5k Fun Run...

Run green in this one-of-a-kind race in Aiken, SC. Modeled after the Urbanathlon events held in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco, Aiken’s Earth Day people chase is a 5K fun run through historic downtown Aiken, SC.

Experience Earth Day 2017 like no other by conquering a variety of obstacles constructed from recycled materials along a 5K race course. Runners will find obstacles to challenge and engage participants of all ages and abilities. Jump over 500-pound recycled cardboard barriers, crawl below police barricades, trail run and hurdle downed tree trunks in Hitchcock Woods, slide across the hood of a patrol car and more! Come celebrate Earth Day 2017 and participate in Aiken’s most unusual 5K run ever. Have fun, exercise, and see some of the city’s most historical locations at the same time.

Race participants can discover more about Earth Day and the benefits of recycling at our post race booths from 9am until 2pm on the Newberry street Festival Center. There will be food, entertainment, awards, and fun at Aiken’s Earth Day 2017. Come celebrate our planet and learn about “Preserving for tomorrow what we all enjoy today.”
