5K Furry Fun Run to benefit Peppertree Rescue - Dogs Welcome!...

• 5K Run / Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

Join us for the 10th Annual Furry Fun Run, a Run/Walk for people AND dogs on Saturday April 29th!  This great fundraiser to benefit Peppertree Rescue will take place at the Warming Hut off the scenic Avenue of the Pines in Saratoga State Park.  

The Furry Fun Run was the first 5k in the area to welcome dogs on a certified 5K course and it is a do not miss event!  If you are not up for running we welcome walkers too!  Day-of-registration is $35 so do not forget to register online before April 27th!  

Proceeds of this event go to benefit the dogs of Peppertree Rescue (www.Peppertree.org) and support the work the rescue does.  Peppertree Rescue is a volunteer run organization dedicated to helping dogs of good temperament - we do not discriminate based on breed, age or health.

Event details and schedule

The event schedule is:

8am to 8:45am - Registration and Packet Pick-up for those that pre-registered

8:50 am - Warm-Up

9:15 - Race/Walk Begins!

This is a rain or shine event so please dress for the weather!

We are asking that all dogs be kept on a 6 foot leash or shorter (no retractable leashes please!), although strollers for dogs (and children) are welcome as long as dogs are kept under control (Park's rules!).   

While we have water available for people and dogs we suggest coming prepared as sometimes things get crowded around the water bowl.  

We also suggest that you bring a towel for your dog (and you) as a portion of the course is unpaved and some dogs cannot resist a good mud puddle! 

Parking is available on site but there are limited spots, we suggest carpooling if you can!
