Last year the Junior League of Hartford (JLH) held its first ever Volunteer marathon – The Volunteerathon!  This mission-based fundraising effort sent JLH Volunteers to a variety of local non-profit organizations for 26.2 continuous hours. The Volunteerathon made a huge impact helping community partners across the Greater Hartford area.  JLH tracked the progress of the 2016 Volunteerathon on social media generating awareness for both the JLH and the community partners.  JLH members raised over $16,500.00.  The funds went to support various JLH projects and programs, including the current focus, Career Connections for Young Women.

On May 5-6, 2017, the Junior League of Hartford (JLH) will be hosting our Second Annual Volunteerathon!  The League will be partnering with around 20 Hartford area non-profits coordinating volunteer projects for our members.  Social media will be utilized to create excitement and recognition in all the activities surrounding the event. Our members will be asking friends, family, and colleagues to sponsor them to volunteer at the event.

Event details and schedule

From May 5th at 4pm through May 6th at 6:12pm the 'Woman Power' of the JLH will be volunteering in the Greater Hartfod Area at the following community partners:
