AWC Strides for Education Run/Fun Walk...

• 10K Run:- Run 6.2 Miles
• 5 Mile Run:- Run 5 Miles
• 5K Run:- Run 3.1 Miles

AWC Strides for Education running/walking events will raise funds to be used strictly for AWC  Foundation Scholarships for the students. This is a great opportunity for you to make a positive  change, in the lives of AWC students while making a conscious decision to increase quality of your  life by choosing to run/walk with us on beautiful AWC campus.  

AWARDS

 Medals will be awarded to top 3 female & male finishers in 5k and 10k

 T-shirts will be awarded to top 3 overall female & male finishers, in only 5k & 10k

 Medals for top 3 teams in 3x1 mile relay

 All registered kids run/walk participants will receive a participation ribbon

Event details and schedule

COURSE INFORMATION

The 5k Run/Fun walk and 3x1 mile events will take place on AWC, Yuma main campus. The surface is partly asphalt and grass. Traffic is controlled by campus police throughout the events, and the course is stroller friendly. 

10k running/walking event will start on AWC, Yuma main campus and stretch out by the canal and end where it begin on the campus. The surface for this event consists of asphalt, grass, and sand.

Half a Mile Kids Run/Walk will take place on AWC, Yuma Main Campus, and the surface for this event is grass.  

On-site registration is available until 15 minutes prior to each event.

EVENTS' SCHEDULE

8:00am 10k (6 mile)

8:15 am 5k (3 mile)

9:30 am 3x1 mile relay

10:00 am Half mile (800m) Kids Run

Award ceremony will take place with the completion of each event
