This event will inspire and help many in the greatest of need!! This race began in 2011 when two wonderful ladies decided to host a 5k to raise funds for our family as our precious daughter, Addison was battling cancer. Unfortunately, Addison passed from cancer just a few short weeks later leaving an amazing legacy behind. She was and continues to be an inspiration to so many. Due to the outpouring of love and support from our community and surrounding communities, the Addison Jo Blair Foundation was established in Addison's memory in 2011. This will be the 7th annual Addison Jo Blair 5k. All proceeds from this race will go to the Addison Jo Blair Foundation which raises funds to support the following:

• The Addison Jo Blair Cancer Care Center at Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville, KY. 
• CURESEARCH, funding for pediatric cancer research that focuses on new treatment drugs, protocols, and cures through clincial trials and research.
• Needs assistance to families whose children are undergoing cancer treatment given in the form of gift cards (gas, meal, and other basic necessities).
• The Addison Jo Blair Memorial Scholarship given in honor and memory of our daughter, Addison. 

Event details and schedule

• Race starts at 8am on Saturday, May 20th with start/finish directly in front of the Glendale Christian Church.
• Packet pickup available the morning of the race beginning at 6:30am or on Friday afternoon, May 19th, in the basement of Glendale Christian Chruch beginning at 5:00pm.
• Men's Division; Women's Division; Boy Division (13 years and under); Girl Division (13 years and under)
• Race is chip-timed with service provided by TriStateRacer
• Trophies and cash prizes for 1st through 3rd in each race division.
• Free kid zone acitivities--Bounce House, Rachel's Face Painting, Twisted Balloons, Card-Making for kids on the Addison Jo Blair Cancer floor and free popcorn.
• Parking is across the street from Glendale Christian Church or East Hardin Middle School. 
• FYI--The road in front of the church will be shut down around 7:30 the morning of the race.
• The race trail will head down New Glendale Rd turning right onto Smith Mill Rd. You will run to a turn around location then head back toward the church via the same path.
