Description

Come run in the beautiful Manzano mountains east of Albuquerque for a refreshing and peaceful run. Take off the ear buds and listen to the sounds of nature (and maybe a little freeway noise) Yes, the location is not far off I-40-easy off, easy on. Part of the track will be run on the paved areas around 2 of the schools that we provide food bags for, and part of it will take you up into the wooded areas on dirt trails. There are a few areas that are a little rocky, some elevation change, so over all a nice workout, different from a city run. Hopefully we will have dry conditions or be prepared for mud or a course change. The 1 mile walk will also be on a dirt trail.

After the run, there will be information tables, a Silent Auction, games for the kids and other activities not yet confirmed. Bring the family and enjoy the morning in the mountains.

By participating in these events, you are providing funds that will enable FBCT to continue to pack 50 bags of weekend food for kids in the East Mountains each week. No child should go hungry. This is our first run event so please be patient with us as we may leave a few things out or take a little longer than you, as a seasoned runner, may be used to. We will try to do better next year. We'd love your feedback. Thank you for your support.
