Lectures Including:
Parking is available at Beach 11 (race start) and Beach 10 (overflow lot). When you enter the park, parking guards will be on hand to direct you. Please keep in mind that it takes approximately 20 minutes to drive from the park entrance to the race start.
State of the art RFID systems will be used to record participant finishing times. The RFID system uses a B-Tag, which is affixed to the back of your bib (race number), allowing you to walk away from the finish without the need to have your tag collected.
*Please note: All participants must wear their bib in order to have their times recorded. Race Results will be posted on our results pageshortly after the race.
*All winners must be present to receive their award. No awards will be mailed out.
For the safety of all participants, the following are prohibited: bicycles, in-line skates, skateboards and all motor-driven vehicles. Portable toilets, fluid replacement and first aid will be available on the course. Certified medical personnel will be available at the start and finish areas of the race.
Spectators: We welcome all spectators to cheer on participants and loved ones! There is no fee to be a spectator at this race. Spectators are advised to be in place 1 hour before race start on Race Day. Please see the course map for route locations.
Gear check will be available for all participants on race day. Please tear off the gear check tag from the bottom of your race bib and attach it to your bag.
Once you cross the finish line you'll enter a Runner Secure Zone - a fenced off area for race participants only. You will receive water, sports drink, and food.
You must bring a photo ID to pick up your own race bib and timing chip at packet pick-up. No one else can pick up your packet for you.
Race bibs are required to participate and no coaches, handcycles, bikes, in-line skates, skateboards or dogs will be allowed on the course.
Participants have 5 hours to complete the half marathon (22 min/mile pace). The 5K participants have 1.5 hours to complete the course (30 min/mile pace). The course has a rolling street closure. If you fall behind this pace, the roads will be reopened to normal traffic and you will be a pedestrian and subject to normal traffic rules.
Participants will receive FREE downloadable race photos!
There will be photographers along the course snapping your photo for some great action shots, but make sure to stop by the finish line festival to take your official finisher's photo!
*Please note: Your race bib is how your photos will be tagged to yourself, so make sure to wear it on race day in a clear visible spot on the front of your clothing. You will receive an email when your photos are available for viewing, complete with easy links to share on Facebook and Twitter!
Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and entries are NON-TRANSFERABLE. Sorry, no exceptions. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You also may not transfer your application to the following year or another event. If you attempt to sell your race number, you may be banned from future events for three years.
