Swede Stampede...

• 1 Mile Run :- Run 1 Mile
• 5K Run / Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

The Swede Stampede takes place in the beautiful Oakland City Park and surrounding side streets as part of the Oakland Swedish Festival.  Participants can expect friendly small-town atmosphere, paved surfaces, a chanllenging hill (5K only), and some cool participation gifts!

Registration is available the day of the race, and will take place at the Oakland-Craig Athletic Complex on the west side of the park.  

• Registration & Packet Pick Up: 8:15-8:55 a.m.
• Youth 1 Mile Race : 9:00 a.m.
• 5K Run/Walk: Approximately 9:15 a.m. (following the Youth 1 Mile)
• 1st Place Medals will be awarded, and pictures taken at the finish line to the winners of each category.

Parking is available along sides of streets within the park, and some grassy areas near the athletic complex.

Participation gifts include super-stylish crystal Sunray Sunglasses, Holster Triton Water Bottle, and matching Swede Stampede cinch bag to carry it all in!  These "hot" items will have you looking cool--Swede Style!

Please join us for other Swedish Festival activities including Cookie Decorating, Craft Fair, Parade & Maypole, Live music, Lego Dala Horse Competition, and much more!  Camping hook-ups are also available in the Oakland City Park if you want stay for the entire Sweedish Festival, a round of golf at the beautiful 18 hole Oakland Golf Course next to the park, or a visit to either of the wonderful wineries and tasting rooms located in Burt County (Silver Hills Winery and Big Cottonwood Winery).
