The First Annual 5k Walk/Run For Life will take place on the scenic Hardwood Creek Regional Trail. The start and finish lines will begin at the Forest Lake Transit Center. The race will head South down the trail towards Hugo, where we will turn around at the half way mark and head back to the Transit Center. This trail is relatively flat and is an excellent paved trail to run or walk a race on.

Course Info
The Hardwood Creek Regional Trail runs parallel along Highway 61. The race will begin and finish at the Forest Lake Transit Center. Runners and Walkers will head South on the trail towards Hugo and at the halfway mark participants will turn around and head back to the transit center. Volunteers will be along the course with water and to direct you when to turn around. The trail is relatively flat with only 2 intersections that have to be crossed. Volunteers will hold traffic as participants cross intersections. This is a great course for a beginner runner or a family pushing a stroller.

Plenty of free parking is available at the Transit Center. Signs will direct you to the check in and registration tables.
