The Ericson Lake Corporation proudly presents the 2nd annual Trail Mix Fun Run to be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Lake Ericson, located one mile south of Ericson, Nebraska. 

The Trail Mix Fun Run is a non-competitive trail run for walkers and runners of all ages and levels.  With the rolling Sandhills as a backdrop, the 5K level course will weave you around beautiful Lake Ericson through a rural mixture of trails consisting of gravel, dirt, and sand.  Do you feel like a more challenging trail run?  Choose the 7K option with extends into the walking trail on the southwest end of the lake.  The 7K trail will take you through the trees and open prairie areas on the hills around the lake.  This portion of the trail consists of a variety of terrain (i.e sand, wood chips, dirt/mud, various tripping hazards) and includes many ups and downs. Due to these conditions, the 7K is not recommended for those with baby strollers.

As a non profit organization, the Ericson Lake Corporation strives to protect and promote wildlife and water conservation as well as to provide an environment in which to enjoy it.  With your help we can raise much needed funds and increase awareness that will enhance the conservation and sustainability of Lake Ericson.

RACE DETAILS

Race begins at 8:30 on Saturday, July 22nd. This will be a non-competitive race and will not be timed.  Packet pick-up will be Friday, July 21st from 6-8pm at the round picnic area by the boat ramp.  Race day registration and packet pick-up will be from 7:30 to 8:15a.m in round picnic area by the boat ramp. Participants must have a signed waiver prior to packet pick-up, copies will be available at pick-up, if needed. Free t-shirt for all online registrations. Participants registering on race day WILL NOT recieve a t-shirt.   No refunds will be given. 

PRIZE GIVE-AWAY

 All participants will be entered into a drawing for prizes donated by our sponsors.  Prizes will be drawn after the race and you must be present to win.

Prizes include a two night cabin stay for six people in a Lake Ericson cabin, a float trip down the Cedar River by Get Tanked LLC and, a $50 gift certificate from Starving Stallion Bar & Restaurant, and many more!
