About This Activity

The 4th annual Freedom Run takes place on July 4th at 9:00am at the unique Town Square in Plentywood Montana. Dry fit race shirts are available after registration and three water/color stations are located along the way. Packet pickup at Harvest Church Plentywood Campus, 514 Sheridan, Plentywood, Montana at the lobby table on Sunday, July 2nd from 08:30 until noon and at Latte Da any day. The Freedom Race starts on Main Steet and proceeds directly west towards the Big Muddy Valley. After a brief two blocks to the north you turn east on Laurel where the first water/color station is located. You then continue on Laurel until Sheridan street where the 10k trail runners head north toward beautiful Bolster Dam. On the way to the dam, the 10k runners will encounter a 400 foot altitude change and then return to the Plentywood and past Wildcat track. On to the campground below Bolster Dam for another altitude change of 300+ feet before returning to the Town Square from south Main Street. 5k runners make a lap on the track and return to south main by the same route with all racers finishing at the Town Square where refreshments and snacks will be provided

Event details and schedule

Parking will be not on the south side of Main Street but will be allowed on the North side. Wear appropriate running clothes or the T shirts from the packet. Be sure to pin your number on but not the bottom portion. You will recieve a RFID tag to be located on you during the run for timing. The race will begin at 9:00am followed by games and a barbeque at the Town Square and fireworks at dusk at Bolster Dam.
