After the event, stay on the Zoo grounds to enjoy the exhibits, for no extra charge! The only 5K Run run completely inside the Louisville Zoo!

Timed 5K Run

Our unique course travels three times through the twists and turns of the Zoo, allowing the runner to enjoy a brisk autumn 5K run in the beautiful surroundings. Stay after the run to enjoy some free coffee, pastries, fruit, pizza - a full smorgasbord of food - and to hear the announcements of our race winners. Running strollers are welcome. Due to time constraints, the 5K is limited to runners, not walkers. A $35 fee includes a t-shirt, food/drinks, and admission to the zoo for the entire day.

Kid's Fun Run

After the main 5K race, we will have an untimed "Fun Run" for children 3-13, which includes one loop through the Zoo. Prizes will be given out to top winners. All participants will receive a Swag Bag and medal. The $25 fee includes an event t-shirt, food and admission to the Zoo for the day.

Not a runner but want to cheer one on? We welcome you to join us as well! Spectator tickes are $15, which includes admission to the Zoo for the day. T-shirts can be purchased for $10. Come join us in support of our unique school and cheer on our runners!

Children three and under are free to come as attendees!

T-Shirts, Food and More

All pre-registrant runners will receive a race shirt for the event and zoo entrance. Also, we like to treat our guests well- drinks, fruit, pastries, pizza and more will be available for free for all race participants and spectators.

We have a wide range of award categories including top overall male and female; top male and female in the following age groups: 13 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over.
