Description

A fun, family-oriented run designed to support and honor those that seflessly protect our community daily.  This is the 2nd annual "Got Your 6(K)."  We were very pleased with the turnout at our first race in 2016.  Here's to another great year!

Event details and schedule

Course Information: Come run another beautiful course through scenic Valley City.  This year's race will start and end at the historic Chautauqua park and the course will wind through various neighborhoods in the northeast portion of town.  Bring the whole family out for an evening of fun.

Parking: Please park on the outer ring of the Chautauqua park loop.

Packet pick-up: Starts at 4pm at the Dakota Pavillion in Chautauqua Park.

Race: Please meet outside of the Dakota Pavillion.  Line-up for the race will be at 6:15pm at which time ushers will lead you to the starting line.  Race will start promptly at 6:30pm.

What to wear: A high-visibility shirt will be provided to you with packet-pickup if you pre-registered.  If you are a late (day of) registrant, please wear brightly colored or high-visibility tops.  If you have any running-flashers, you are encouraged to bring these and wear them during the event.  Be aware that the weather this time of year can be quite varied.  You may want to consider multiple layers.  If you do layer up we ask that you please keep a high-visilibility shirt on the most exterior layer at all times during the race.

Volunteers: Please be on the lookout for our course volunteers.  Volunteers will be wearing emergency services vests with high-visibility tape on them and will also be donning flashlights.  They will be directing you where to go.  We have over 20 volunteers scattered throughout the course to help you find your way to the finish line!

Restrooms: Bathrooms will be available for use both before and after the race at the Dakota Pavillion.

Post-race ceremony: SVBTB will be providing a spaghetti feed for all registered participants after completion of the race.  If family members would like to join the participants for this meal, we do ask for a small free-will donation to cover the cost of the meal.  Awards will be dispersed once all runners have finished the race.
