Description

The 2nd Annual Birmingham Run For Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017.  All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. (https://www.ostomy.org/)

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

8:00 a.m. Registration

8:45 a.m. Welcome and opening remarks

9:00 a.m. 5K Run/Walk

10:00 a.m. Fun Run Starts

12:00 p.m. Awards and Closing Remarks

Children activities, vendors, and snacks will be available for the duration of the race.

We're celebrating Ostomy Awareness day with a Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K Run/Walk. This Fun for All Ages event will include music, children’s activities, games, and snacks.

RACE COURSE - The run/walk will take place at George Ward Park with registration/activities being located at Field 6,1901 Greensprings Avenue, Birmingham, Alabama 35205. The course will be within the park and there will be signs mapping out the race course. Come celebrate Ostomy Awareness with us!

PARKING – There is a parking lot located immediately as you turn into the park.

T-SHIRTS - Tech T-shirts will be included with registration if registered before the deadline. Race shirts will be either unisex or female v-neck cut. You are guaranteed a race shirt if you register by September 20th. You may purchase additional race shirts for $10 each.

FUNDRAISING - Set up your own personal or team fundraising site and get your friends and family to reach your fundraising goals.  If you raise over $250, you will receive a unique and limited fundraising tech shirt.
