The 7th Annual Run the Trail - Harvest Run event runs through the beautiful Hoffmantown field and The Academy Running Trails. It starts and ends at Hoffmantown's Mission Field, the site of our 2nd annual Harvest Festival where the whole family can enjoy games, treats, and cheer on the runners.
Awards: Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded for the following age divisions running the 5k:
Which event is right for me? This is a 5K (3.1 miles) trail event. This year’s event will have separate starts for timed 5k and the 1K fun run. Once in the appropriate area, line up according your pace, with slower runners and walkers towards the back.
Can I walk the 5k? Yes, of course! But the 5k course closes after 75 minutes and the crews will begin picking up the barricades, so walk faster than a 24 minute/mile pace
Strollers: Unfortunately, narrow access to the Academy trails makes strollers difficult to incorporate on the trail. We are working on ways to make stroller access possible, so stay posted.
Pets: We love your furry friend too but please leave dogs/pets at home. Participants have experienced unfortunate stumbles due to dogs crossing their paths. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Fun Run First-timers: If your child has never done a run, do not let that prohibit them from joining us. We group kids according to age and send them off in waves so that bigger kids aren’t running over the little ones. Most children do run by themselves, but parents are certainly welcome to accompany their children. This event will only take about five minutes to complete. Every Fun Run participant receives a dog tag necklace!
Proceeds: All proceeds benefit Oak Grove Classical Academy's Athletics & Activities Program. For more information visit www.oakgroveclassical.com.
