This race was created to bring awareness and support to one of our fellow Miamians.  A former and current softball alum, Lauren Anderson, daughter Kailyn Anderson. Kailyn Anderson, age 3, was diagnosed with "High-Risk B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)," this past summer.

From what doctors and nurses have told the Anderson family, it looks to be at least a 3 year journey full of treatment, doctor's appointments, chemotherapy, and all around changes in Kailyn's everyday life.

This 5K and 1 Mile race/walk can raise funds and awareness for not only leukemia cancer but all cancer. The Run For ALL race, welcomes people of all ages and fitness levels, from walkers to elite runners.

Location:

Starting- Miami University Softball Field

Parking:

Based on time of race and time of football game, will all be in one location so easier to get out and does not take up parking for football game.

Benefit:

The proceeds will be donated to Kailyn Anderson to help her fight this battle with Leukemia.

Course:

Participants will assemble at Miami Softball Field for the start. Course will be clearly markedand will wind through scenic Miami University’s Athletic facilities finishing back at the Miami Softball Field. Route is mostly flat with some gently rolling areas. 

Race-Day Timeline:

7:00 AM - Packet pick-up begins/Registration

8:00 AM - 5K Run/Walk begins

8:15 AM - 1 Mile Fun Run

Post-Race Activities:

Other after-race events include food, drinks, children’s games, Basket Raffle.

Photos:

We will have some photographers on hand throughout the day Saturday. Please arrange with your friends to meet at the photo booth for your race picture. We LOVE seeing the energy of the day captured in photos!

T-shirts:

T-shirts are included with pre-registration while supplies last. T-shirts are unisex, no children sizes

Race-Day Registration:

Register on Race Day from one hour before event at the Miami Softball field. If you really must wait until Race Day, we will welcome you. It will cost you a little more but what the heck, you don't have to obligate yourself. T-shirt sizes will be limited.

What to bring and wear:

Bring your running/walking shoes. Clothing for either rain or shine. We are honoring all indviduals battling cancer, please feel free to wear the colors that represent a loved one battling a certain cancer. 

**Race registration includes one Miami Football ticket for the afternoon of Saturday October, 21st when they take on Buffalo.
