Trauner Consulting and Restoration1 CFL are proudly presenting a 5k Run/Walk to benefit six year old Aven and many other children fighting childhood cancer. On March 11, 2014, three and a half year old Aven Crane was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of soft tissue cancer, Alveolor Rhabdomyosarcoma.  There is no cure and very little funding for this type of pediatric cancer. Aven's cancer has been in remission for the past two and a half years and, thankfully at present, she is enjoying the life of a typical six year old.  However, at best she will be battling a lifetime of long term side effects from her treatments which have included surgeries, 42 weeks of chemotheraphy and a month of daily proton radiation. Unfortunately, Aven is just one of many children fighting this battle.

This is a Road Kill Timing LLC event, which donates 100% of the proceeds from this race to Brighter Days Childhood Cancer Org. Inc. a 501(c)3, (formerly the Aven Crane Cancer Foundation).  This Foundation not only helps Aven, but many other families with financial assistance for expenses not covered by insurance and to help fund a clinical trial for alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.  Several thousand dollars raised for this foundation has already been earmarked for that purpose, however much more is needed. Together we can make a difference.  Thank you for your participation!
