Description:

The 2nd Annual Veterans and First Responders 5k run/walk and Memorial Mile run/walk, presented by Title Sponsor Splendido at Rancho Vistoso, to help raise funds for the Southern Arizona Veterans and First Responders Living Memorial at Naranja Park.  The memorial will be a place where people can go and reflect; they can honor their forefathers, grandfathers, grandmothers, aunts and uncles – whoever served. It will be an opportunity for education about veterans as well as first responders – they are equals in this memorial.

All participants who sign up by April 30, 2018, and complete the run/walk or the memorial mile will receive an event shirt. Everyone will receive a custom finisher's medal.  

5k Awards will be given to the Top Three Male and Female overall winners, as well as First-Third Place Male and Female in each Age Group. Age groups are: <14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80>

Packet pickup will be at the venue on race morning from 0530 to 0645.  This is when you will receive your shirt CUT-OFF DATE FOR SHIRT SIZE IS 4/19/18) and timing chip.  All runners wanting an official finish time must wear a timing chip on their shoe.  You will receive your finisher's medal once you cross the finish line. 

Kids can enjoy a free Kid's Fun Run, arts and crafts courtesy of the Children's Museum of Tucson/Oro Valley, and a demonstration by the Oro Valley Police Department Motor Unit.

**Online registration increases at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19.  Onsite registrations will be available race morning until 6:30 a.m. for $50
