_ The 2nd Annual Run the River 5k:

The Town of Pearl River has partnered with Pearl River Lion's Club to host the 2nd Annual Run the River 5k to benefit local area schools and scholarships.  Please join us again this year as an individual or a team to have fun and help us raise a generation to Run the River.

We are excited to share that this year we will be in the Pearl River Wildlife Management Area.  The race will begin at the boat launch located at 40003 Old Highway 11, Pearl River, LA, run a route into the WMA on Old Highway 11 and back out returning to the boat launch to the reception, complete with food, drinks, a band and a bounce-house for the kids. The beautiful scenery will be sure to make this year's race more memorable!

Unfortunately, to enter the management area, you must hold a current hunting or fishing license OR get a 1-day entry pass at a cost of $2 anywhere hunting/fishing licenses are sold.  We have reduced registration cost by $2 because of the expense that will be incurred by our runners.

You do not need a 1-day pass if you hold a current hunting/fishing license.

You cannot purchase the 1-day pass from us on the day of the race, so please have this done before you arrive.  We apologize for any inconvenience, but we assure you that it will be worth it!  

**ONLY THOSE REGISTERED BY FEBRUARY 7TH WILL BE GUARANTEED A TSHIRT**

Event details and schedule

Please arrive early.  It is recommended that you pick up your race day packet before race day (once tshirts are in, we will announce a packet pick-up time/date/location).  Check in begins at 7am. on the day of the race.  Please be sure to bring your hunting/fishing license OR your 1-day WMA pass.
