_ The 2018 Prairie Fire Marathon:

The Prairie Fire Marathon promises runners a fast and exciting course taking runners through the Heart of Wichita while displaying Wichita’s exciting new entertainment district as well as the beauty of some of the nicest residential areas the city has to offer. Runners will enjoy the sounds from local area bands and watch parties scatter throughout the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K courses.

The Prairie Fire Marathon is a Boston qualifier boasting some of the fastest and flattest terrain in the region. Enjoy wonderful temps and well-coordinated fuel and hydration stations throughout all 26.2 miles. Don't miss one of the last chances to qualify in 2018 at the Prairie Fire Marathon.

Packet Pickup will be held on Saturday October 13th, at the Fit For Life Expo in Century II Exhibition Hall from 9:00am - 5:00pm

Back 2 Back Challenge

Celebrate the 9th anniversary of the Prairie Fire Race Series by completing the 5th Annual Back 2 Back Challenge! Complete the second event of the Back 2 Back Challenge you started in the Spring. Registered 2018 B2B Challenge participants will receive an array of additional amenities including: a commemorative bib, medal, Tech t-shirt and VIP tent access upon completion of the Challenge. Youth Marathon

All participants will complete a Mileage Tracker that will be kept by their teacher. The Mileage Tracker will keep track of each mile the student runs prior to the event on October 14, 2018. Each student logs 12 miles or 25.1 miles on his or her log by having a teacher sign for each mile completed. On the day of the Marathon, the kids will run the final 1.1 miles on a course designed for kids. Fun Run/Walk

The Fun Run/Walk will be held on the same course as the Sparky's Kids Mile at 11:00 am. We encourage the city of Wichita to come out and run, jog, skip, or walk together with family and friends and enjoy the weather and good times that the Prairie Fire Spring Half Marathon offers.
