The 4th Annual Brain Health to BEAT STROKE 5k takes place August 11, 2018 at the beautiful McLeod Lake Park in Stockton, CA. Winners of all ages while fundraising to increase stroke awareness and better stroke outcomes.

The 4th Annual Brain Health to BEAT STROKE 5k takes place August 11, 2018 at the beautiful McLeod Lake Park in Stockton, CA.   795,000 strokes occur yearly in the United States and indexes higher in the Central Valley.  In San Joaquin County, stroke is the 3rd leading cause of death and the #1 cause of long-term disability.  Stroke once was perceived as an old person's disease, but is happening at a younger age at an alarming rate.  Knowing the risk factors, the symptoms and newest treatments available can save a life.  For over 11 years, Healings in Motion has been the leading agency advocating on behalf and educating the community-at-large about stroke and increasing the response to stroke symptoms. Stroke is treatable, but RESPONSE TIME is crucial to save the brain.  With your participation,  we can BEAT STROKE and save lives!
